JKAACL Kargil organizes multilingual Naatia Mushaira
KARGIL, MAY 30:-In connection with the holy month of Ramadan, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Kargil today organized a district level multilingual Hamdia Naatia Mushaira at New Academy Complex Language Centre Kargil.
Around 25 poets from different parts of the district described the virtues of the holy month by rendering their poetic compositions in Urdu, Shina Dardi, Balti and Purgi languages.
Executive Councillor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi was the chief guest while as Superintendent of Police Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Aga Syed Mujtaba while hailing the efforts of Cultural Academy Kargil for having organized the literary event, said that literary gatherings of such nature are an ideal platform to give impetus to the art of religious poetry.
The EC said that the holy month of Ramadan preaches self-control, tolerance and patience and is an annual strengthening of one’s inner personality. He urged people to strive hard to imbibe these values of virtuousness and piety so as to attain spiritual cleansing which would get them in proximity to the Almighty.
Superintendent of Police Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar in his speech complimented the Academy for organizing such poetic symposia from time to time thereby giving a fillip to literary activities in the district.
The poetic sitting was presided over by State Awardee poet Haji Sadiq Ali Sadiq while as poets who recited their compositions included Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat, Ghulam Ahmad Khan Jawan, Sadiq Ali Sadiq, Aga Syed Hadi Shah Aga, Jigmet Nurboo Khayal Ladakhi, Bashir Ahmad Wafa, Sibte Hassan Kaleem, Muhammad Asgar Asvi, Muhammad Jawad Jalib, Ashraf Ali Sagar, Nassir Hussain Khemat, Ghulam Murtaza Advocate, Muhammad Hussain Fayaaz, Raza Amjad Badgami, Muhammad Hanif Tantray, Tsewang Rigzin, Muhammad Yaseen Ansari, Taqi Khan Nayaab, Nissar Hussain Trespone, Fida Hussain Wazir Fida, Muhammad Ali Babaa, Zakir Hussain Karbalai, Sajjad Ali Shujaat and Mirza Mehdi Jaffary.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary/Special Officer for Cultural Activities G-1 Kargil Nazir Hussain welcomed the dignitaries, poets and the audience.
Among others, officers from the Civil Administration, writers, poets and a jam-packed hall of literary enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
Bashir Ahmad Wafa conducted the proceedings while as Special Officer for Cultural Activities Kargil Muhammad Ali Tak delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
