Teachers conference held at Higher Secondary School Silmoo

DC Kargil for imparting quality education

KARGIL, MAY 30:-Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary on Wednesday said that teaching profession is a very challenging and honourable profession and as such teacher must be creative, professional, flexible and knowledgeable enough to deal with daily challenges and find different ways to help students develop as successful citizens of tomorrow.

The DC stated this while addressing teachers, students and community members at a teachers’ conference on the theme “a dialogue for quality education at grass root level” held at Government Higher Secondary School Silmoo.

Superintendent of Police Dr Vinod Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, Chief Education Officer Kargil Nazir Ahmed Wani, other concerned officers, community members and teachers were also present on the occasion.

The DC said that it is important for teachers to monitor learners’ performances and keep record of their progress in terms of punctuality, achievements as well as other aspects of the curricular and co-curricular activities. He exhorted upon teachers to deliver their duties with added dedication and commitment so that the objective of imparting quality education is fulfilled in its true essence.

Meanwhile, a number of other speakers also spoke in detail about the role of teachers, parents and other stakeholders to impart quality education to students.

Around 200 teachers and students from different High and Middle schools of Silmoo Batalik area from Lhalung to Garkone participated in the conference.

Students also presented colorful cultural programmes and skits on the importance of quality education who were later given prizes and certificates by the DC and other dignitaries.

Later a signature campaign was also held on the occasion where in the dignitaries, teachers, students as well as the community members expressed their resolve to work dedicatedly to bring quality education at the grassroots.
