NMC Bill injustice to medical education system : Dr Tasaduk

NMC Bill injustice to medical education system : Dr Tasaduk
JK's prominent Educationist, medical doctor and prolific columnist Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo has said that the controversial National Medical Commission Bill moved by Central Government to replace Medical Council of India is injustice to medical education system.
"The move by the Central Government to replace MCI with NMC under NMC Bill is a complete flaw , raises questions on credibility of medical education system and injustice to medical  fraternity of the entire country", Dr Tasaduk said while talking to KBC NEWS.
He said that considering common Final year MBBS Exam as National Exit Test (NEXT) and making it a basis for the allocation of PG courses under NMC Bill is discrediting the whole course of MBBS.
He said that relieving medical graudates of the separate exam for PG courses at the compromise of quality and credibility of whole MBBS course will serve no purpose in enhancing the medical education system in India.
He said that it is very impossible to maintain fairness, accountability and transparency in conducting the common Final Year MBBS Exam in all the medical colleges across the country and allocating a PG course on the basis of marks obtained in it will totally be injustice and unethical to medical graduates across the country.
He said that NEET PG Examination- that is held as a separate competitive exam annually after MBBS for allocation of PG courses is purely valid, ethical, justifiable and selects the candidates on the basis of proper merit and maintains transparency and accountability in whole selection process.
"Axing the NEET PG under NMC Bill is a step towards degrading the quality of medical education in the country" He added.
Pointing towards bridge courses through which the Central Government is thinking to elevate paramedics as Medical graudates , Dr Tasaduk said that it will lead to further deterioration of medical services and quality of healthcare provided in the country.
