Srinagar police along with executive magistrates and other departments conducted market checking in Zadibal area

 Srinagar,2nd June,2019.

On the directions of SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS,Police parties of Srinagar  Police  accompanied by the concerned Executive Magistrates and representatives of  SMC,CAPD and other concerned departments conducted surprise market checking in the Zadibal area of the city.

The checking was aimed at ensuring the quality and to curb black marketing and profiteering of essential commodities and to keep vigil on erring shopkeepers.Erring shopkeepers and vendors were fined on spot the executive magistrates and other concerned departments.Also rotten vegetables and fruits were destroyed on the spot. 

Srinagar police is committed for such drives and  will be conducted on routine basis so that quality of commodities is ensured. Srinagar Police urged shopkeepers not to violate the rules besides displaying the rate lists at their respective shops.

Locals appreciated the act and hoped such drives would continue in future as well.
