Mobile game addiction among children a big concern in the society : Dr Tasaduk

Jammu and Kashmir's prominent educationist, medical doctor, motivational speaker and prolific columnist Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo has said that the mobile games addiction in current generation children is becoming a serious issue of concern.
"Mobile games have more harmful effects than good. Playing video games frequently for more than several hours per day can negatively impact one’s overall health and lifestyle, and lead to problems with education, social relationships, and addiction including suicide tendencies" Dr Tasaduk said while talking to KBC NEWS.
He said that the mobile games addiction is rising among young children especially since mobile devices have made it easy for users to access thousands of games with just a few taps.
"It is very unfortunate to hear about the deaths occuring because of PUBG and other mobile games that children are usually addicted to" He added.
He said that the impact of mobile games addiction on mind of current generation children is to such an extent that they are now denying to play outdoor games - that are good for mental, social and physical health.
He advised the parents to refrain their children from giving them mobile phones in hand and give them to play outdoor games as much as possible.
