Minor girl allegedly raped in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal, accused arrested

Srinagar: A minor girl has allegedly been raped in central Kashmir’s Harran area of Ganderbal district.

While confirming the incident to KBC News - Kashmir, SSP Ganderbal  said that they received a complaint on Sunday about the incident and that the accused has been arrested, ” We received complaint from family on Sunday and we arrested the accused. The victim is 15 to 16 year old.” He said.

Adding that the accused is a neighbour of the victim. “We are investigating the matter,” He said.

Police has registered​ FIR no 98/2019 under RPC  376  , 451 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO)
