Grenade attack on polling booth in Kulgam; Police refuted reports

Srinagar: Suspected Militants on Sunday night hurled a grenade on a polling booth in Mirwani in Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Locals said that suspected militants on Sunday night hurled a grenade towards a polling booth located in Mirwani area of Devsar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

As per a report by The Kashmiriyat nobody has been injured in this attack.

A search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers.

A Police official upon being contacted said that they are verifying the details of the incident.

However, a police statement said that “Certain Social Media platforms reporting about a grenade incident at Kulgam is incorrect. No such incident has happened there and hence is rebutted.”
